Keskiyön Hovi
Keskiyön Hovi, Finnish for "Court of Midnight," is a story-driven niche perfume house devoted to scent as memory, ritual, and presence.
Created for those who were taught to fear the dark and chose instead to understand it, the house explores fragrance as something intimate and intentional. Perfume is not an accessory here. It is a companion.
How It All Began
Keskiyön Hovi grew from Midnight Muse Candles®, evolving naturally as scent demanded a deeper, more lasting form. What began as atmosphere became intimacy. What was once burned asked to be worn.
Scent has been part of my life since my teens. I first began creating soaps and bath products, and years later that passion returned through Art of Healing, an Eastern medicine and beauty spa in North Carolina. There, with a foundation in herbology, I created custom body treatments for private clients. Their encouragement eventually led me to found Roman and Grey Bath Co., a small-batch bath and body company that I ran for more than six years.
After stepping away from industry altogether, I never intended to return. In 2023, during a season of profound personal change, I began translating perfume compositions I had developed over the years into wax through Midnight Muse Candles®. Before long, emails began arriving from customers telling me they wished they could wear the fragrances again. Those messages changed everything. If it hadn’t been for those customers, I don’t think I ever would have returned to perfume.
Keskiyön Hovi was created to honor that return.
This is not a house built around trends or endless new releases. It is built around the belief that fragrance should become part of your life. I want these perfumes to be revisited, not forgotten. To become part of your daily rituals. To linger on the skin like unfinished stories.
Alongside each fragrance are candles and keepsakes that extend those stories beyond the bottle, allowing the memory to remain long after the last drop has been worn.

Hi, I'm Natasha.
I'm the artist and perfumer behind Keskiyön Hovi.
I'm Finnish American, and I named this little house after the Finnish phrase Keskiyön Hovi, meaning Court of Midnight.
The name isn't just a nod to my heritage. Midnight has always been where my work begins.
When the house is quiet and the world finally slows down, I read fantasy, write stories, blend perfume, and pack orders. Most nights, you'll find me surrounded by blotter strips, tiny bottles of aroma materials, and a stack of books long after everyone else has gone to sleep. Somewhere between midnight and dawn is where Keskiyön Hovi truly exists.
I've been creating with fragrance for more than twenty years, beginning with soaps and bath products before eventually finding my way to perfume. Every fragrance is blended, tested, and refined by me, often through dozens of revisions before it ever reaches a bottle.
My work is inspired by folklore, old libraries, forgotten places, forests after rain, warm kitchens, and the stories that stay with us long after we've closed the book. I don't create perfume simply to smell beautiful. I create fragrances that invite you into another world, if only for a little while.
