At Keskiyön Hovi, fragrance is approached as both craftsmanship and storytelling. Each perfume, candle, and body product is blended by hand using a combination of perfumery materials sourced from trusted fragrance suppliers and raw material manufacturers from around the world.

Because our formulas often combine professional perfumery materials, natural extracts, aroma molecules, and accords built in-house, scent profiles may evolve over time as formulas mature and age naturally.

COMMONLY USED MATERIALS

- Ambroxan

A synthetic aroma chemical derived from sclareolide that mimics aspects of natural ambergris. Known for its warm mineral-like softness, subtle leathery facets, diffusion, and longevity, Ambroxan has become a foundational material in many modern designer and niche fragrance compositions.

- Cashmeran

A synthetic woody-musky aroma chemical known for its warm, soft, and velvety character. Cashmeran carries subtle spicy, floral, and amber nuances while adding richness, texture, and sensual depth to fragrance compositions.

- Hedione

A synthetic jasmine-like aroma chemical widely used in modern perfumery. Known for its fresh, airy, and radiant floral character, Hedione adds lift, diffusion, naturalness, and elegance to fragrance compositions.

- Iso E Super

A single-isomer synthetic woody-amber molecule originally developed by IFF chemist John Hall in 1973. Soft, transparent, and slightly velvety in character, Iso E Super is known for amplifying surrounding notes while creating a smooth, warm aura on the skin.

- Ethylene Brassylate

A macrocyclic musk material with a clean, soft, slightly sweet musky character and subtle floral-powdery nuances. Often used to add smoothness, elegance, diffusion, and fixative strength to fragrance compositions.

- Labdanum Resinoid

A dark resinous material with warm amber, leather, honey, and earthy nuances. Commonly used to create depth, richness, warmth, and atmospheric character in amber, gothic, and chypre-style fragrances.

- Benzyl Salicylate

A soft, sweet-floral scent with balsamic-musk nuances, serving as a fixative that adds balance and volume to white-flower accords.

- Galaxolide

A clean soft musk material with subtle floral-woody undertones, often used to create warmth, diffusion, softness, and a smooth skin-like freshness in fragrance compositions.

- Aldehydes

A class of aroma chemicals widely used in modern perfumery to create brightness, sparkle, softness, creaminess, metallic nuances, waxy textures, and abstract atmospheric effects depending on the type used. Most fragrance aldehydes are synthetically produced and have been foundational materials in modern perfume composition since the early 1900s.



CARRIERS & BASE MATERIALS

- Perfumers Alcohol (SDA 40B)

A cosmetic-grade alcohol commonly used throughout fine fragrance, body sprays, room sprays, and other alcohol-based fragrance applications to provide diffusion, stability, and even scent distribution.

- Fractionated Coconut Oil

A lightweight stable carrier oil commonly used in perfume oils and body products.

- Golden Jojoba Oil

A skin-friendly liquid wax ester prized for its stability and luxurious skin feel.

- DPG (Dipropylene Glycol)

A cosmetic solvent commonly used to improve blending and fragrance performance.

- IPM (Isopropyl Myristate)

A lightweight emollient used to improve glide, absorption, and skin feel.

- TEC (Triethyl Citrate)

A cosmetic-grade solvent and fixative commonly used in perfumery applications.

Keskiyön Hovi formulates in accordance with current IFRA (International Fragrance Association) safety guidelines where applicable to product category and usage limits.

Some fragrance materials may be restricted to specific maximum usage levels depending on product type, application method, and regional regulatory standards.

Because fragrance regulations, material availability, and supplier reformulations evolve over time, formulas may occasionally be adjusted to maintain safety, stability, and performance standards.

Keskiyön Hovi continuously monitors evolving fragrance safety standards, IFRA guidance, supplier updates, and international regulatory developments as part of ongoing formulation practices.

All perfumes, oils, candles, and body products are intended for external use only.

Because many materials used in perfumery are naturally derived, slight variations between batches may occur.

Temperature, aging, harvest conditions, supplier sourcing, and natural maturation can all subtly affect color, depth, sweetness, projection, and overall scent evolution.

This is a natural characteristic of artisan fragrance.


Handmade Nature of Products

All Keskiyön Hovi products are blended, poured, labeled, assembled, and packaged by hand in small batches.

Minor variations in wax appearance, color, ribbon placement, charm finishes, label alignment, or fragrance maturation may occur and are considered part of the handmade nature of the brand.
