Some collaborations begin with books. Others begin with music, visuals, aesthetics, collections, rituals, personal memories, or imagined worlds.

Every project is approached compositionally and atmospherically, translating feeling into fragrance through layered scent construction, storytelling, and ritual design.

You work directly with me from start to finish. I am your perfumer, chandler, label designer, creative director, packer, and occasional quiet chaos goblin. Once your concept is approved, I move fully into creation mode and provide updates at key milestones throughout the process.

About the Fragrance Work

I have been formulating original fragrances for over 16 years across perfume, candles, body products, and bespoke atmospheric projects.

Every composition is developed intentionally from the ground up. You are not receiving a stock fragrance, mass produced oil blend, or premade dupe formula.

Many collaborations are approached through what I refer to as the Lock & Key philosophy or concept. Certain materials act as “keys” within a composition, quietly unlocking softness, warmth, projection, nostalgia, atmosphere, texture, emotional resonance, or diffusion within surrounding notes.

Some materials are not meant to simply stand alone or dominate a fragrance. Instead, they shape the way a scent blooms, clings, evolves, and settles onto the skin or into a single space.

The goal is never to just smell good or pretty. The goal is to create atmospheres that people can wear, burn, remember, and return to over and over again.

Some compositions are intimate and soft, sitting close to the skin like a secret. Others are designed to haunt corridors, linger in sweaters for days, emotionally destabilize your enemies, and make strangers stop you in public.

Alchemy requires patience, intention, and truth. Anything less is well... just a copy.

Glimmer Candle (3–4 oz)
A discovery sized candle ideal for PR boxes, gifting, launch events, and introductions to a scent world.

An atmosphere driven candle focused entirely on fragrance throw, mood, and immersion.

Relic Candle (8.5–9 oz)
A ceremonial candle featuring a collectible gold filled charm and velvet ribbon as part of the Muse Chain system. Designed as a keepsake long after the wax has disappeared.

Eau de Parfum
A full sized perfume inspired by atmosphere, character, emotion, setting, or concept. Perfumes may include symbolic charm detailing attached to a velvet ribbon affixed to the bottle lid and presented in signature Keskiyön Hovi packaging.

About the Relic Charms

The charms featured throughout the Relic system are not decorative afterthoughts.
They are keepsakes.
Each charm is selected intentionally using gold filled materials, symbolic motifs, and collectible design elements meant to outlive the perfume or candle itself.

Many also feature Swarovski crystals chosen for light play, symbolism, and storytelling value.

Once the candle has fully burned away, the relic remains.

It can be worn, displayed, added to a Muse Chain bracelet, collected, or kept as a physical reminder of the atmosphere it once carried.

The flame fades. The relic remains.

How the Process Works

1. Story & Atmosphere Download
You share your concept, themes, visuals, references, audience, emotional direction, aesthetic, or worldbuilding.

This may include playlists, excerpts, Pinterest boards, mood imagery, branding, color palettes, poetry, photography, or simply a feeling you want translated into scent.

2. Concept Development
I develop multiple original fragrance directions complete with mood descriptions, scent structures, and atmospheric concepts.

We refine together until the direction feels emotionally correct.

3. Sampling & Testing
Wax samples, scent cards, or perfume trials are created and shipped for evaluation.

Adjustments and refinements can be made if needed.

4. Visual Direction
Labels, packaging direction, relic concepts, ribbon styling, and presentation details are developed to align with the atmosphere of the collaboration.

5. Production
Once approved, all products are poured, blended, cured, assembled, labeled, and packaged by hand in small batches.

6. Launch & Delivery
Orders are completed by the agreed timeline and shipped fully finished and presentation ready.

If social promotion or collaboration sharing is desired, this is always discussed beforehand.

Timelines & Expectations

Because every collaboration is bespoke, lead times matter.

Concept development and sampling typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.

Candle production and curing typically requires an additional 2 to 6 weeks after final approval depending on scale and format.

Perfume formulations require an extended maceration period of approximately 4 to 6 weeks after final approval, allowing the fragrance to settle, deepen, and fully develop as intended.

Most collaborations should expect a total lead time of approximately 6 to 10 weeks before launch, event, or release date, though larger or perfume heavy collaborations may require additional time.

Rush projects may not always be possible depending on production volume, maceration requirements, and scheduling.

Fulfillment Options

Option A: Keskiyön Hovi Fulfillment

Keskiyön Hovi handles production, packaging, fulfillment, and customer service while you focus on promotion and launch.

Revenue share or flat rate structures available depending on project scope.

Option B: Wholesale

Products are produced at wholesale quantities and shipped directly to you for events, launches, boutiques, or independent fulfillment.

Minimum quantities apply.

Communication Promise

You will receive updates throughout major milestones including concept approval, label approval, production start, and shipping confirmation.

I am a maker first and tend to move quickly once a concept locks into place. If you prefer additional checkpoints throughout the process, they can absolutely be built into your project timeline.

Rights & Portfolio

Your intellectual property always remains yours.

With permission, Keskiyön Hovi may showcase completed collaborations as part of portfolio and creative work examples.

Extended licensing, royalties, or ongoing production agreements can be discussed in advance for larger collaborations.
