There are moments when a fragrance begins from pure curiosity. It's not developed in a lab, but in an honest conversation. 

It started with a question I had asked in a fragrance Discord: 

What is something you feel is missing from perfume? Something you have searched for and never quite found.

Among the answers, one stood out to me the most. Rachel said she wanted a blueberry cake fragrance where the cake is front and center. The blueberry is still present but softened. Also, absolutely no florals and nothing that would distract from the warmth of it.

I keep a fragrance journal close to me at all times. When something clicks, I write it down before it disappears. In my notes, I wrote that this could not be syrupy or overly sweet.
It had to feel real, warm, and inviting. Like something that felt like it was just pulled from the oven but still wears beautifully on skin.

A Small Truth from the Studio

Sometimes when an idea won’t leave me alone, I go into the studio during hours that are very much not meant for working and start blending anyway.

That’s how these three versions took shape:

Cake Forward
Extra Cake
Blueberry Cupcake

One where the cake was present, but softened into the background.
One where the cake came forward fully, warm and golden, the very first thing you notice, with the blueberry settling gently behind it. And one that leaned more into a blueberry cupcake, lighter, sweeter, and touched with a little more vanilla.

I am not the baker in this house— my husband is. At one point he walked into the studio, stopped, and looked at me like I had completely lost my mind. He asked why it smelled like I was baking a blueberry cake in my perfume studio... I wasn’t. But that was the moment I knew it was done. Nothing else needed to be touched or added.

Originally, I called this trio Blueberry Discord. It was sent to Rachel, to those who had asked for it, and quietly included as a perfume initiation within a few orders. When Rachel received her trio, she chose the one that answered the question exactly. The one where the cake refused to disappear. She named it: 

Blueberry Bite.

A Fragrance Made with You

This was Rachel’s baby from the very beginning. She chose the final version. She named it. She gave her final approval on the label. What started as a question became something real. Nothing added that did not belong. No florals were added to soften it. Just cake and blueberry, exactly as it was asked.

Each bottle is blended, rested, and assembled by hand to ensure the scent develops exactly as intended.
